What is a Tracking Code?

A tracking code is a small snippet of code that allows advertisers, webmasters, and marketers to analyze the flow of visitors to websites and the activities of users. Tracking codes are an important prerequisite for conversion tracking and attribution.

You can store as many Tracking Codes as you would like in the URL Shortener tool so that you can then embed them into your Short URL links.

By implementing this code, you’ll be able to see in Analytics where your product page traffic and searches came from so it can then be retargeted through the corresponding marketing channel.

For example, if you embed a Facebook Pixel Tracking Code to a Tracking Link used on a Facebook page, you can then target Facebook Ads to those Facebook users that have opened your product link for up to 180 days.
